Sugar Rush: Vegas Edition

HERSHEY’S CHOCOLATE WORLD Las VegasIf “I Want Candy” is your personal theme song, then Las Vegas is the place to indulge your cravings. There is no shortage of sweet spots in Sin City, and this list has the best of the best.

Hershey’s World. This flagship store offers 13,000 square feet of Hershey’s bliss in the form of chocolate, gifts and assorted treats. Highlights include a Statue of Liberty sculpture made from nearly 800 pounds of Hershey’s chocolate, personalizing your very own Hershey’s chocolate bar wrapper and starring in a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup television ad. Warm up with a cup of Hershey’s hot chocolate and don’t forget to take home some cookie creations from the Hershey’s bake shop. Hershey’s world is located in the New York New York Hotel Casino. Visit http://hersheyschocolateworldlasvegas.com/ for more information.

M&M’s World. Right next door to the MGM Grand Hotel Casino you will find four floors of all things M&M from the candies themselves to just about any souvenir or M&M-themed item you can imagine. Make sure to visit the Personalized Printer where you can choose M&Ms from a selection of 16 different colors and personalize them with your name or any text that fits (two lines, eight characters each). Don’t miss the 3D movie, “I Lost My ‘M’ in Vegas” starring Red and Yellow.

Serendipity 3. While Serendipity 3 is home to the famous $1,000 Golden Opulence Sundae, you only have to spend a fraction of that to enjoy Serendipity 3’s other famous dessert, Frrrozen Hot Chocolate. In addition to the original that started it all, there are seven other delicious versions to choose from such as Mochaccino Coffee and Amaretto Almond. Double the fun and order a Frrrozen Hot Chocolate for Two. Serendipity 3 also offers a dozen different “drug store” sundaes as well as a full menu of cafe fare such as burgers and dogs, and pizza and pasta. Serendipity 3 is located at Caesar’s Palace.

Lick. Leave it to Las Vegas to have a candy store with the motto, “What color is your tongue?” Lick, at the Shoppes at Mandalay Place, is not a kid’s candy store but rather an adult playground with novelty items you won’t find anywhere else. While good fun more than good taste is the order of the day, Lick is certainly like no other candy shop around.

If you’re in Vegas, any of these stores are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
